Nina Ricci: modern, chic and feminine

Born in Turin, it was in Paris that Nina Ricci became famous for her fashion creations. In 1932, she opened her studio and instantly charmed the ladies of high society with the elegant, sophisticated and natural femininity of her clothes, perfectly cut and romantic in style.

Since 2014, it is Guillaume Henry who has assumed the role of artistic director. The French designer with simplicity and mastery knows how to perfectly reveal in his collections the spirit of the Nina Ricci heritage – satin clothing, sheaths lace and ribbons, pieces that resemble delicate lingerie – intermingled with dresses, pants and jackets in bold cuts. Everything is created in his studio in Paris that is located in the same building as the flagship store of the brand in ultrachic Avenue Montaigne.

After laying the foundations of a timeless wardrobe, Guillaume Henry has earned the right to venture into more daring design phase to dress a woman in a contemporary Nina Ricci style using bold combinations of cut and colour.

The decoration and layout of the boutique also reflects the same modernity of the designer and exposes the clothes and accessories in a chic minimalist atmosphere – straight away at the entrance, where you have several looks forming a corridor that you can enjoy as if you were visiting an art exhibition – which is what it really is.

Valery Daniel, the director of the boutique Avenue Montaigne explains… “Guillaume has a real knowledge and deep understanding of the feminine universe, and what the modern women seeks in an ideal wardrobe. He actually watches them on the street, and he also very often comes into the boutique where he takes the time to talk with customers. It is this proximity that allows the Nina Ricci collections to remain faithful to the spirit of the brand, very close to what women want to use and wear….”

For next summer, the collection of Nina Ricci explores new horizons. After seducing us with an extremely sexy collection this winter, the SS2017 collection is greatly influenced by a more pronounced sporting style, with dynamic looks, energetic colours in graphics rhythms.

With the arrival of the evening wear, the dresses have a definite air of seductive with sequins, lace and other nocturnal attributes that radiate brilliance and luxury.

The Nina Ricci woman will never go unnoticed.
