Ciao Bella! Day#2

Milan Day 2

Walking through Milan streets in general, you are struck by the enormous range of shops and I can safely say that Milan is one of the best places to shop in the world! Everything is new, fashionable, bright and original.

Something to WEAR

Italy is famous for its leather goods and designer sunglasses – and all of the very latest fashion and trends … so you cannot miss out on this opportunity to get yourself a nice gift and within budget – a pair glasses (either for the sun or vision)…

Milan has a lot of exclusive designer shops that will leave everyone dying with envy. The shoes, bags, jackets and pants – all leather, are incredible – sometimes quite expensive – so don’t forget that if you are visiting from outside the European Union, you are entitled to reclaim the sales tax on any goods you buy and bring home with you.

A definite quality of Italian design is that it’s almost timeless. I can assure that you will have them in your wardrobe for a long time and also as one of their favourite items.

Something to READ

You will also find in Milan, one of the most interesting bookstores in the world that specialises in fashion, design and photography. It’s to be found at 10 Corso Como. Its owner is Carla Sozzani – an important personality of the publishing world of magazines in Italy and his sister, Franca Sozzani, the powerful director of ‘Vogue Italia’.

She opened the bookstore in 1990, at the time, mostly devoted to art and photography.

Over time, this place became a reference in the segment “fashion”. Today, they still have a restaurant, an ultra-modern shop and a gallery … On-site exhibitions are held, concerts and other cultural activities. The must!
