365 Things To Do in Paris! Bars

LATE AFTERNOON – A DRINK, A BAR
Louvre – Tuileries – Madeleine

A dialogue with Leonardo da Vinci and the Mona Lisa in the heart of Paris. Catwalk fashion, luxury and great restaurants.

Truth be told, between a restaurant and a bar, in this neighborhood, stay with the second option. The bars of the hotels here are wonderful and loaded with “regulars” at the end of the day. A program definitely not to be missed.

♥ 8 – Hotel Costes

Are you inspired and want to enjoy a lunch or an aperitif-dinner in an environment to be decidedly “see and be seen”?  The Costes  Hotel restaurant is the right place for you to go. The dishes are predictable, but the food is definitely not the most important thing in the place.

It’s already midnight, but since midday, the place welcomes a breath of beauties tinkling glasses of wine and champagne sitting on the terrace or in the small rooms decorated in explosive red velvet like the cabarets of a Paris of “autrefois”.

I can not deny that I am a fan of the boudoir-baroque-chic style of this 5-star hotel and I love to take friends for a drink in the bar where the nights can be extended.

So make a reservation and get ready to see the highest concentration of Chanel and Dior handbags in town. And of course, during the Fashion Week, the place is invaded by top-models and celebrities.

♥ 9 – Cercle Suédois

How about taking part in an intimate soiree in a very private place?

Every Wednesday, the discreet Cercle Suédois, which is usually reserved only for members, opens its doors to those who enjoy an aperitif and enjoy good jazz.

On the spot, only a small gold plate indicates that you are in the right place. But, do not worry: ring the doorbell, go up to the second floor and enter the first door on the right.

Welcome to a fantastic bourgeois apartment, which has a wonderful view of the gardens of Tuileries. And as if you were at home, grab a coat hanger, hang your coat and settle comfortably on one of the sofas. Order a glass of fine wine and enjoy one of the best jazz in Paris.

“Rivoli Mercredi Jazz”, every Wednesday from 18h to 23h. € 15 for the concert.

♥ 10 – Bar 228

Meet William Oliveri is to travel the world incognito and full of stories of a “bar tender”.No wonder that Oliveri, after making his reputation most famous in the palaces of Europe, runs the historic Bar 228 Hotel Le Meurice 30 years ago!

I love this bar. For me, a perfect bar: small and cozy, but modern with the decor created by Philipe Starck.

The cocktails are perfect (yes you are in a Palace), but what I really appreciate in this bar is the presence of Oliveri, this discreet character, always attentive to everything, friendly and passionate about what he does. Oliveri has served his cocktails to none other than Salvador Dalí, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Claudia Cardinale and Sofia Loren. How about you join this list now? Among his famous creations is the “Bellini” cocktail, the must have of the most glamorous bar in Paris.
