Baccarat Illuminates the Faubourg Saint Honoré

Since 1764 the name Baccarat is closely linked to exceptional places and unforgettable celebrations. Its sparkling crystals are synonymous with luxury, beauty, fashion and extravagant occasions. The years have passed, yet Baccarat’s shine and brilliance has effortlessly traversed centuries, while at the same time innovating constantly with its unusual creations to become a symbol of excellence and the art of living and decoration. A know-how that has been transmitted over the centuries by an elite team of craftsmen with an incomparable heritage of design and elegance.

Baccarat’s first major recognition came when it received its first royal order in 1823, one of a glass service commissioned by Louis XVIII. Since then, Baccarat has seduced Charles X, Napoleon III and celebrities such as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Prince Aga Khan III, Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco and countless other heads of state and personalities.

Each carafe, glass, vase, bottle, chandelier embodies an ultimate promise, inspired by the secrets of alchemists. Blowers, cutters, engravers and gilders put their inimitable talent at the service of perfection.

After celebrating its 250th anniversary, Baccarat opens a fantastic Boutique in the mythical Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in one of the most prestigious Palaces in Paris and two steps away from the Elysées presidential House.

Imagined by architects Gilles & Boissier, the new boutique is inspired both by a French mansion and the very particular style of a Parisian apartment.

This season the Spring / Summer collection of Baccarat is named “Blue Eyes” with declinations of the blue inspired by the oceans, the sky, the dreams …

This new flagship store is wonderfully designed and the lay out is stunning, yet perfectly organised in a way that helps customers imagine their products in their daily homes. At the entrance, a beautiful table is set up with as if one were entertaining for a very important dinner.  In a corner, an office presents different objects in crystal –  vases, carafes and small luminaries, sculptures, all in an intimate atmosphere.

This boutique of course hosts a fabulous range of jewellery, including pieces by designer Marie-Hélène de Taillac. Known for her modern creations, glamorous but especially portable everyday, she reinterprets the emblematic octagon of the brand in a series of precious jewels with a timeless and seductive look in a burst of dazzling colours.

But also a great surprise is reserved on the 1st floor: with the intention of continuing to reinvent the beauty through its exceptional creations, Baccarat has created an “apartment” to receive its customers, with great discretion and intimacy for special orders – an experience to live and above all to share.
